What it's used for
Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets are used alongside rest and physical therapy to relieve muscle spasms and associated pain, tenderness, and limitation of motion in acute musculoskeletal conditions. It is intended only for short periods of up to two or three weeks.

Typical dosing
The recommended dose for most patients is 5 mg three times a day, which may be increased to 10 mg three times a day based on individual response.

A potentially life-threatening serotonin syndrome can develop when cyclobenzaprine is used with other drugs like SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, or MAO inhibitors.
