What it's used for
This medication is used to treat high blood pressure, lower the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and an enlarged heart, and treat kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Typical dosing
The usual adult dose is 50 mg once daily, while the starting dose for pediatric patients is 0.7 mg per kg once daily up to 50 mg.
