What it's used for
Omeprazole is used to treat frequent heartburn that occurs two or more days a week. It is not intended for immediate relief and may take 1 to 4 days for full effect.

Typical dosing
Adults 18 years and older should take 1 tablet once daily before eating in the morning for a 14-day course, swallowing the tablet whole without chewing or crushing.
