What it's used for

Simvastatin is used to reduce the risk of death from coronary heart disease, non-fatal heart attacks, and strokes in adults with certain cardiovascular conditions or diabetes. It is also used alongside a diet to lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in adults with primary hyperlipidemia.
