What it's used for
Desloratadine tablets are used to relieve nasal and non-nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, and to provide symptomatic relief of itching and hives for chronic idiopathic urticaria in patients 12 years and older.

Typical dosing
The recommended dose for adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older is one 5-mg tablet once daily, which can be taken with or without meals.

Common side effects
